HOW TO USE THESE CHARTS
Numbers indicate the mileage westbound from the control station, or zero point, at the east end of the subject section. All mileages are scaled from the quadrangle maps of the United States Geological Survey. The tourist must allow for small mileage corrections within each section because of the inherent accumulating errors of the typical car odometer.

5.0—Curve sharply Left onto Silver Road; curve is locally known as Dead Man's Curve

SECTION 8a--GALION TO BUCYRUS 11.5 MILES
0.0—Continue westerly with Harding Way/State Route 309
0.7—At traffic signal, continue westerly, diverging from S.R. 309 by following State Route 19
0.9—At traffic signal, angle Right, continuing with State Route 19
6.4—Colonel Crawford Battle Monument, and historical marker for Seccaium Indian village, at Right
8.8—Holmes Curve; there once was a brick pillar in front of the brick house at Left
10.0—Original location of brick pillar known as the Songer Marker was at Left; the pillar is now at the Stewart Cemetery east of Bucyrus (see Section 8)
10.1—At traffic signal, Whetstone Street X's; enter Bucyrus on Hopley Avenue/State Route 19
11.15—Angle Right onto Walnut Street for one-half block; the gas station at this corner was the location of the John E. Hopley home; his address was #1 Lincoln Way (renamed Hopley Avenue)
11.2—At traffic signal, turn Left onto Charles Street for one block; diverge from State Route 19 at this point
11.3—At traffic signal, turn Right onto Sandusky Avenue/State Route 4 for three blocks

SECTION 9a--BUCYRUS TO UPPER SANDUSKY via Nevada
Original route is 17.9 MILES. Please follow this simplified version which is 16.9 miles and a safer route to Nevada.
0.0—Continue westerly with Mansfield Street
2.3—At traffic signal at Wynford High School, Turn Left onto Nevada-Wynford Road, which will curve to resume westerly
7.3—At county line, Nevada-Wynford Road becomes Township Road 55
8.4—After stop sign in NEVADA, continue one short block westerly, then turn Right onto Morrison Street
8.6—After stop sign, continue northerly onto State Route 231
8.9—Turn Left onto State Route 182
16.1—Turn sharply Right, continuing with State Route 182
16.25—At stop sign, turn Left onto Wyandot Avenue, continuing with State Route 182; note that at Right, an old brick road remnant is still visible behind the grocery store and in front of the radio station; at Left is another part of the same old road remnant;

13.8—Opposite the old railroad depot in FOREST , turn Left onto Madriver Street, continuing with State Route 53 (note: Patterson Street and Zimmerman Street may have been on original route)

SECTION 11a1--LIMA TO DELPHOS via Elida and Scott's Crossing. Original route is16.6 MILES. Please follow this simplified version which is 15.0 miles. It is generally the 1940's version of U. S. Route 30-S. It is more direct and eliminates over a dozen turns.
0.0—From CONTROL STATION at Lima, bear northwesterly at Main Street
0.2—At traffic signal, turn Left onto North Street/State Route 309; Allen County Court House is at northwest corner
1.2—At traffic signal, turn Right onto Jameson Avenue, continuing with State Route 309
1.7—Road curves Left at railroad overpass and leaves Lima on Elida Road/State Route 309; old road remnants survive below as adjacent surface streets
6.0—At fork in road, avoid curve Left of S. R. 309 and continue straight onto Main Street
6.7—At stop sign in downtown ELIDA, continue westerly with Main Street
6.9—At stop sign, turn Right, resuming westerly with Elida Road/State Route 309
10.8—SCOTT'S CROSSING
12.0—Where State Route 309 diverges Right, continue westerly with Elida Road
13.8—Where Elida Road curves Right, turn Left onto Elida Avenue, putting shopping plaza at Right
14.4—Elida Avenue merges into Second Street in Delphos

15.0—CONTROL STATION at DELPHOS is at the traffic signal at the intersection of Fifth Street; Miami and Erie Canal parallels Main Street at one-half block to the west; there is a historical marker on the west bank of the canal at the north side of the street; former Lincoln Highway Garage is at northeast corner; concrete post replica is at the near southwest corner; reset odometer to zero (go to section 12)

0.45—At Second Street beyond railroad crossing, turn Left onto McKibben Street toward church
0.6—At traffic signal at church, turn Right onto West Street
0.9—At traffic signal at Grand Avenue, junction with State Route 65; continue northerly with West Street/State Route 65
4.1—At fork in road where State Route 65 diverges Right, continue northerly onto State Route 115
6.8—Interchange with four-lane U. S. Route 30; continue northerly with State Route 115 for 0.3 miles
7.1—ORD'S CORNER; turn Left onto Lincoln Highway
