To commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the 1919 Transcontinental Army Convoy, about seventy military vehicles from various eras approached Delphos, Ohio on Wednesday June 17th. The convoy was a mile and a half in length, and the variety of sounds (not just engines, but horns and sirens), made it a treat for both the eyes and the ears. After overnighting in Delphos at Jefferson High School, the convoy continued west to South Bend, where it was featured in a downtown parade that was planned in conjunction with the annual conference of the Lincoln Highway Association. Here are just a few of the vehicles in the patriotic procession.
